after my roomie woke up yesterday...(i am plagued with being a morning person apparently...i had actually never considered myself to be a morning person...but roommate and bo fren both say it is so...so...whateva)...my only opinion on that is...although i dread getting up in the mornings...(so very unreid whitakerlike of me)...i do it...and i get up in time to make coffee (usually)...do dishes or straighten up...and sit on the patio for a little quality time with jesus...well...anyway...when roommate woke up i ask her if she would call her doctor and tell him my symptoms and see if he would call something in for her...and she already had...oh yeah...i was numb from my waist down...at least...and i felt oh so nice...this...however...is not a solution...i might as well become an alcoholic if i'm gonna get addicted to something...pills are way too much of a yuppy drug for me to consume on a regular basis...but yesterday...yesterday they saved my life...i'm looking into student insurance...blah blah blah...anyway...feeling better...and thinking about the major changes that have occurred in my life...someone said to me last week...and i'm at a loss as to who it was...but anyway...it was said that, "every change changes everything."...if this is true...2005 was full of everything changing...because of this...STRESS...so...stability this year...is a must have...even more than the new aspara moroccan tunic dress...yes...indeed...this is another reason i'm excited about wordpress...there will definitely be a fashion section...from hair and skin care...to what to wear and when to wear it...to...you guessed it...SHOES!!!

i feel like crap...poor people can't get anything taken care of...(poor people would be me)...for the most part...things are fine...but it's the 5 min. that i'm not fine...well... that ends up costing me the most...this is going to be one of those..."if you don't want to hear about girlie issues then you should stop reading now" posts...except for the one little paragraph that i will write to basim... but i will skip some space for all of you who don't want to read what's coming...now...i've been on my period for 15 days..."why haven't you gone to the doctor, erika?" ... you might ask...because i quit my well paying job with full cover insurance and dental plan to work part-time and finish school...so at this moment...it is 10 am...(i know this because the little man inside my computer told me)...and i am laying in bed with a dull ache...after severe cramping...all night long...and waking up around 3:30 or 4 this morning and chugging 18 alieve and 6 advil...i'm left with a dull ache and a need to sleep...until my period decides to stop...which should be any day now...i went to the good neighbor clinic this morning...because that's where people go when they don't have any money...and there were no doctors...and the nurses were in a meeting...my friend karen took me but it was a waste...and i'm left wondering what in the world do you do when you are in the middle of becoming someone who CAN afford insurance...but aren't there yet...i don't know...i called someone else...and it doesn't look too promising...so i guess poor people are suppose to drug up and skip work (and the money to pay for the sliding scale clinic not to mention next weeks bills because poor people are also paid hourly) instead of going to the doctor...this is another reason why i want to do this whole becoming a doctor thing...if i can live on $700 after i become a doctor...which is what i live on now quite happily...then the rest of my earnings will be going to help poor people get their medical needs taken care of...people like me...who like to go to work...but are currently not at work...because they have a very easy yet unaffordable problem to solve...and i'm not going to the emergency room (as this has been suggested) ...one...because this is not an emergency...and if i ever have a real emergency then i'll be pissed that lots of people are there that don't need to be when i have to wait in line for an hour bleeding from a knife wound (or whatever the case may be)...i don't like that a person has to be in a certain tax bracket in order to be healthy...i don't like that most of my life i didn't care about this because my parents always had money...and so did theirs...and so did theirs...i don't like it that i can clearly see a day when this won't be a problem for me...but this will still be a major problem for many many others...i don't like that i am one of the people now that others look at as "one of THOSE people"...comments that i've been privy to my entire life...but it was never about me...right...because i was never one of THOSE people...well...now i am...now i'm 26 and have had to make a few sacrifices to do something more with my life...and one of those sacrifices was health insurance...because it is impossible to pay for insurance out of my pocket...the cost is over half of my paycheck...and i work only 30 hours a week...so no full-time benefits...and i'm at a community college (to save money might i add)...so i can't get student insurance...so i'm SOL...and because of this...i'm one of THOSE people...and when i get on the other side of "THOSE" people...i hope that i can begin to bridge the gap between wealthy and poor...and change the idea that poor people are poor because they want to be (i have actually heard this argument)...so i have successfully bitched about my issue...and will now start calling the other phone numbers on the list...lets just hope i'm poor enough to get help...

basim...it's just a joke...i never intended on punching you in the face, arm, or gut...i thought it was funny...i actually laughed every single time i wrote it...or said it...or thought about it...every time someone mentioned your name i got to say, "basim? i'm gonna punch that guy in the face the first time i see him."...it's true...everytime i said this...but i'm not going to do it...i'll probably give you a big o hug...i thought i would write this publicly because you didn't answer my ichat..which i only had because i am using robb's computer...when you didn't answer i thought you might think i was serious...so i'm putting everyone's heart at ease....i don't hate basim...but i do think he should learn to take a joke...i feel like me and mikehon are like david letterman and oprah...i feel like you and me are like newman and jerry...you know...seinfeld...so...anyway...kathy wales really wants me to forgive you...so...i guess i can get over the whole beth moore thing...if you promise to never do that again...if you cannot make this promise...i will have to go back to my previously unserious idea...and...punch you in the face...

Diet Coke... i cannot tell you how ridiculous it is that i have had no physical withdraws from cigarrettes...but the lack of caffeine gives me a headache so bad i can't get my head off the pillow...i had a headache so bad yesterday...because i slept until 1pm...which is so incredibly unlike me...and i woke up with a terrible headache...had a diet coke (or two...ok three...but they were the little bottles)...and in about 20 min...headache...gone...i just don't normally sleep this late...and when i caught my second wind at 11:30 last night...i remembered why...i'm so use to long days...that no matter when i wake up...it's gonna be a long one...so i have decided no nap today...(not that i have time for that anyway)...i'm starting a new running schedule...and i'll tell you why in a few weeks...i just don't want to jinx it before i even get started...i had a lovely weekend...spent good time with robb...went to church with him on sunday...and there i learned that basim is really afraid of me...because i was coming...basim wouldn't let robb sit with him at church...let me just say basim...i am going to punch you in the face...arm...or gut...upon meeting you...however...remember that i'm a nice person...i just think you deserve it...you know...the whole beth moore thing...and then i'll invite you to dinner (or whatever robb and i are doing) ...and we will forget it ever happened...anyway...you're a dude...it's not like i could "really hurt you"...anyway...just know...the sooner we get this over with...the better...so...if you are still in town...let's do this...so...moving on...one reason i wish to be on wordpress is for the categories (of course all of them are so random...they might all be filed under random)...i bring this up...because i would have an ushy gushy mushy category...where i tell you all the wonderful things robb does for me...today it would say...totally giving boyfriend...my stupid pension check...which i was suppose to get in october...still hasn't arrived...with this check i was going to purchase a laptop...now...i don't have to...robb has lent me one...and for all of you who really really care...it's an ibook...

...they are...so...i'm not on wordpress...or my period...last week sucked...and in a moment of rage and other stuff i cannot identify "feeling-wise"...i deleted the blog...one reason was that i was tired of looking at it...it was ugly...the other reasons i'm not sure i can tell you about...but i will if i can later...i did save my last blog...and i was surprised as all get out to see that people actually read this thing...so...i decided that i would tune back in...and when i have time to figure out wordpress (which will be forever since i am a computer idiot...not kidding)...then i will move to a beautiful blog...until then...i'm stuck and your stuck looking at this...sad face...
